Michael Dart is the Executive General Manager – Customer at Energy Queensland.
Energy Queensland is a $26B Government Owned Corporation and Australia’s largest electricity distribution company, connecting electricity supply to 2.3 million customers across Queensland. They develop and deliver innovative solutions for the energy challenges faced by customer and communities. Energy Queensland includes Ergon Energy, Energex, Ergon Energy Retail and Yurika.
Michael has championed Energy Queensland’s customer and community strategies, engaging with our significant stakeholders and customers to implement energy policy on behalf of the Board of Energy Queensland. His portfolio includes customer and community strategy, media management, Government and investor relations, internal communications, marketing, brand and customer digital needs. His portfolio includes the businesses Customer and Market Operations which covers connections, metering services, market transactions and customer contact centres across the state of Queensland. He is the Chief Customer Officer (CCO) and Chief Marketing Officer (CMO).
Michael has executive management, stakeholder relations, policy development, media, social media and communications experience reaching over 20 years. He is also an experienced Non-Executive Director and Chair in the government, arts and environmental health fields. Michael is a trustee of the Centre for Economic Development Australia (CEDA). Michael has also worked for State and Local Governments and as a private sector consultant.
Michael is a proven leader, policy and communications specialist, having spent more than a decade as an Energy industry leader as well as significant roles in the public and private sectors.
Michael is also involved in several volunteer organisations including the Arts, Business and Environment sectors.
