Steve is obsessed with customers and has worked across multiple industries and leading brands in Retail, Pharmaceuticals, Insurance, Financial Services and Energy. He has led several transformation programs and new business ventures to a winning position across strategy, insights, marketing, product development and operational delivery. The key to his success has been the translation of customer insight into value propositions and the alignment to people, systems, and processes to deliver them reliably and consistently so that customers and organisations create and capture meaningful value. He has extensive real-world experience with strong roots in direct customer engagement at the coal face, is highly pragmatic, inventive, street smart and very direct and to the point, a consequence of his upbringing in South Africa, before migrating to Australia 25 years ago. Currently he is driving a number of start-up initiatives for a leading technology company specialising in smart meters and is focussed on how he and others can help usher Australia to a new and better energy future that will ensure a better world for generations to come.
